The CRADLE Cell at Chandigarh University, Uttar Pradesh, is dedicated to encouraging research through artificial intelligence and building partnerships around the world for technological transformation and societal betterment.

Objective
- To develop CRADLE cell teams to understand problems related to the design process of engineering, technology, management, and issues related to commercialisation and create sustainable solutions.
- To develop and establish a Centre of excellence, AI-related Research Center, and Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) based Research Center which stand out at the global level.
Responsibility of CRADLE cell in the University
Research projects
The CRADLE Cell encourages faculty to undertake research projects and facilitates the completion of research projects.
Research funding
To provide proper guidance for submission of proposals to funding agencies and facilitate the disbursement of fellowships to research scholars.
Research collaboration
To support building an association between teaching faculty and research faculty.
Research laboratory and Research equipment
To modernise the laboratories with advanced feasible technologies and instruments, promoting qualitative research along with quantitative research.
Research promotion
The CRADLE cell will incentivise the publication of high-quality research.
Research by Faculty and doctoral students
The CRADLE cell monitors the quality and progress of research by the faculty members, doctoral students, and postgraduate students.
Research consultancy
- To encourage faculty to undertake research projects and facilitate completion.
- To set up an AI centre for research and development, including software development, prototype making, and student creativity, with an international partner university.
- To set up a Centre of Excellence in various thrust areas/fields in different schools.
- To use consultancy work as a competitive edge in research and development.
- To advise on industrial-sponsored research and consultancy matters.
